The reality is that we all have an internal voice that creates these thoughts, that then engages our emotions, and hence drives our behaviours. Identifying the ‘process’ of ‘when to listen to this voice’ and ‘when not too’, is critical to building our self-confidence and self-esteem.

This voice can create helpful thoughts - or it can create unhelpful thoughts within us. Put simply, we have the choice as to which voice we choose to listen to. Those that run high confidence and high performance tend to listen to the helpful voice within them. Interestingly, these individuals also see failure as an opportunity to learn life lessons which they can bring into this present moment in time to learn, grow, and evolve. Those that run low self-confidence and self-esteem can take the same unhelpful thought and turn it into an opportunity to devalue and diminish who they are. At the root of lack of confidence and low-self esteem is a common mistake: we unconsciously accepted the negative or untrue input from our inner voice
