  • This is incorrect and is a fallacy.

    Online hypnotherapy has just as effective outcomes as In-Clinic hypnotherapy. Interestingly, for some clients the opposite is true in that they get better outcomes from online therapy. These clients feel more relaxed, comfortable and emotionally safer undertaking therapy in their own safe space. They feel physically safer in a familiar environment as well emotionally more open to discussion and suggestion. This only contributes to a positive outcome in our sessions.

    When you are going to a clinical session, as a client you need to travel to the session, find a park (if you drive a car), walk to the clinic, sit in the reception area, walk into a clinical space which is new to you, sit in an unknown space and talk to someone you aren’t familiar with - and on top of this you are asked to feel safe and be emotionally open.

    In fact, recent research backs this up and with one report concluding that online therapy lead to better progress and was more effective compared to face to face therapy. Similarly, a systematic review in the Journal of Medical Internet Research (Vol. 14, No. 4) stated that results "indicate that e-therapy seems to be at least equivalent to face-to-face therapy".

  • Online hypnotherapy is a safe and convenient alternative to face to face sessions. It is just as effective as working together in the clinic and follows the same structured approach. It's useful if you are restricted by time, location, family commitments or medial conditions, making it accessible to all.

  • Hypnosis doesn't reply on having a therapist in the room with you. We all go in and out of this hypnotic state, also known as 'trance' several times a day, often when we're focused on the task in hand. Have you ever been watching a good film or reading a book and completely lost track of time? Trance is a very natural and safe state where you'll remain in complete control and can easily achieve as long as you can hear the guided relaxation.

    As humans, we all need times where we can relax, reflect and consolidate information which why Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can be so beneficial, because it combines powerful solution-focused discussions, followed by trance work so that the ideas and solutions discussed can then be explored and utilised by the brain for positive benefit

  • Using Zoom for virtual hypnotherapy sessions couldn't be easier. Once we've agreed a time for your session, you'll just need a reliable internet connection and a quiet comfortable place to relax. I'll send you a unique link for each session which is safe and secure and only you will have access to it. Zoom is very similar to Skype, just click your link and follow the instructions to join your session. You can use your laptop, tablet or phone to join your session.

    We'll spend the first half of the session talking and exploring the positive things which have happened and focusing on solutions and the promotion of new ideas to identify a way forward. You'll then relax, and I'll ask you to get comfortable so I can still see your face, shoulders and upper chest, and I'll guide you into a state of focused attention where your mind is more responsive to suggestions. The session ends with a review of what you have brought back with you out of trance and we discuss strategies as to how you can engage these moving.

  • Online hypnotherapy is just as effective there is no difference. It's important that you choose the right therapist for you, someone you like, trust and feel comfortable talking with. For this reason, I offer a free initial chat which gives us the opportunity to talk and discuss your needs.   • A reliable internet connection

    Laptop, PC or device with good sound and camera

    A quiet comfortable place where you won't be disturbed

    Headphones allow you to be fully immersed during hypnosis

    Remember to turn off notifications on your devices and phones

  • The length of Therapy varies greatly. Several factors can influence what length of therapy will suit you best. These include:

    The type of therapy being sought i.e. life goal therapy versus Complex trauma

    The length of time you have been having difficulties i.e. bullying at work versus a lifetime of abuse 

    The degree of change you want to achieve i.e. subtle changes versus life changes

    Your level of self-confidence.

    The best results are typically obtained by those people who are committed to the therapy process. Ultimately, you will know when you no longer need Therapy because you will have achieved the changes you want. Throughout the Therapeutic process, you are always in control and your free choice and free will are essential to this process. You can choose at any time to discontinue therapy, have a pause and take a breath, or change up or down the frequency of our sessions. Typically we allow between 4 - 6 sessions Clinical Hypnotherapy sessions.

  • Unfortunately, Psychotherapists, Hypnotherapists, and Counsellors are not eligible for Medicare rebates, so we don’t take Mental Health Care Plans from your GP. 

  • No referral is needed from your GP to receive therapy from me

  • All my services start with an initial 15 minute introductory ‘one off’ consultation (note: this is not a Therapy Session). This meeting is an opportunity to feel comfortable within our Therapeutic relationship as well as exploring what has brought you to me and for you then to decide whether to start attending regular Therapeutic sessions.

  • The fee is shown when you book an appointment online, so you will be sure of what you’re paying. 

    Modern Hypnotherapy & Strategic Psychotherapy Sessions are priced at:

    Free ‘one off’ introductory 15-minute discovery call. Thereafter:

    $260 for the first 75 minute online session; then,

    $230 for the remaining 45 - 50 minute online sessions; or

    $330 for the first 75 minute Clinical session; then,

    $300 for the remaining 45 - 50 minute online sessions; or

    Discounted sessions depending on the number of pre-booked sessions paid for.

    $540 for two (2) 50-minute Clinical or Online sessions (booked together)

    $810 for three (3) 50-minute Clinical or Online sessions (booked together)

    $1,040 for four (4) 50-minute Clinical or Online sessions (booked together)

    $1,260 for five (5) 50-minute Clinical or Online sessions (booked together)

    $1,490 for six (6) 50-minute Clinical or Online sessions (booked together)

    $1,610 for seven (7) 50-minute Clinical or Online sessions (booked together)

    $1,820 for eight (8) 50-minute Clinical or Online sessions (booked together)

    $2,050 for nine (9) 50-minute Clinical or Online sessions (booked together)

    $2,259 for ten (10) 50-minute Clinical or Online sessions (booked together)

    Each of these sessions include a recording of that session

    Please note these sessions are not covered by a Medicare rebate.

  • You can book an appointment by going to the booking page or alternatively you can email me via the contact page to set an appointment. I will contact you back within 24 – 48 hours to confirm your appointment. Alternatively you can contact me via the general mobile of Gold Coast Clinical Hypnotherapy on 0466 745 153. Appointment availability will vary depending on demand and availability; however, I will work with you to try to meet your appointment needs. 

  • All sessions are prepaid. You can book and pay online through the Booking Portal HERE. I also provide you the option to pay by Visa, Mastercard, and PayPal, using our secure online service. You pay by card when you book the first (or combined) session(s) online. After that, for further regular sessions, you may pay by debit card, credit card, PayPal, or by cash. 

  • Once you have attended the Introductory Session you can then decide if you wish to proceed with further full therapy sessions. I provide the option of booking one (1) session at a time online or numerous sessions which will also provide you a discounted rate. 

  • Sessions are for 45 - 50 minutes, starting on the hour, and are usually re-booked at a frequency of once a week. I will discuss the number of sessions with you during the initial consultation. Starting regular sessions is a commitment to prioritising the session time, as consistent attendance is important for the therapeutic process to be most beneficial to you. Please note I may also provide you with out of session homework to be completed between sessions

  • For your sessions there is no private health insurance available.

  • I am a private Therapy service that you can access directly whenever you feel the need. You do not need a referral from a doctor to undertake Therapy with me. My practice is open to everyone – individuals or couples, regardless of gender, age, sexuality, or nationality. Any client under the age of 18 will need the agreement of their parent or guardian. 

  • As the Therapist, I commit to regularly scheduled appointments with my clients as I understand the importance of regularity and continuity of sessions. As such I hold diary time for my clients on a regular and committed basis. So missed appointments or cancelled sessions are chargeable, - unless you cancel at least 48 hours prior to your appointment.
