Anxiety
The reason you are running anxiety where others aren't is because you are seeing risk where there isn't any. It is simply your perception of your world being run through your imagination. Strategic Hypnotherapy will teach you new skills and new ways to perceive the world around you. You will fundamentally engage in the world with a new set of risk assessment skills which more accurately reflect the reality of your world.
What is Anxiety?
How does Strategic Hypnotherapy work with anxiety?
Rather than focusing on removing the symptoms of your anxiety (calming the mind and focusing on the present), Strategic Hypnotherapy is more concerned with working with the ongoing cause of your anxiety. Our primary focus is on teaching you how to not run anxiety in the first place rather than focusing on what to do with your anxiety once you get it. ........it just makes sense....... Understanding where your perceptual filter currently sits will determine your levels of sensitivity to risk and how you are perceiving it - in your world. The reason you are running anxiety where others aren't is because you are seeing risk where there isn't any. It is simply your perception of your world. We will change the way you see risk as well as minimising the amount of catastrophising you do.

Do I run Anxiety?

If you identify with any of the following eight signs and symptoms, and they just won’t go away, you may be running anxiety:
Are you constantly tense, worried, or on edge?

Are you plagued by fears that you know are irrational, but can’t shake?
Do you believe that something bad will happen if certain things aren’t done a certain way?
Do you avoid everyday situations or activities because they cause you anxiety?
Do you experience sudden, unexpected attacks of heart-pounding panic?
Do you feel like danger and catastrophe are around every corner?
Are you struggling with your sleep patterns?
Perhaps struggling to get out of bed in the mornings?
Common Emotional Symptoms:
In addition to the primary symptom of excessive and irrational fear and worry, other common emotional symptoms running anxiety include:

Physical Symptoms
But anxiety is more than just a feeling. As a product of the body’s fight-or-flight response, anxiety also involves a wide range of physical symptoms, including:
Overall physical tenseness
Pounding heart
Sweating
Headaches
Stomach or gastric upsets
Nausea
Dizziness
Frequent urination or diarrhoea (IBS)
Shortness of breath
Muscle tension or twitches
Shaking or trembling (especially fingers or hands)
Insomnia
Because of anxiety mirroring physical illness symptoms, people who run anxiety can often mistake their disorder for a medical illness*. They may visit many doctors and make numerous trips to the hospital before their anxiety disorder is finally recognised.
Many people running anxiety also suffer from depression at some point. Anxiety and depression are believed to stem from the same biological vulnerability, which may explain why they so often go hand-in-hand. Since depression makes anxiety worse (and vice versa), it’s important to seek treatment for both conditions.
*(I always recommend visiting a GP initially in these situations to ensure there is no underlying physical ailment).
